Project Description
Fiskardo
Fiskardo, the most picturesque and cosmopolitan village of Kefalonia, is located on the northern tip of the island and is one of the most popular destinations for visitors from all over the world. Fiskardo retains the unique architecture and charm of the Venetian era, with colorful buildings and narrow streets that give the place a sense of nostalgia and romance. Its beautiful harbour is full of traditional taverns, cafes and bars, where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and local delicacies with a view of the boats and the deep blue Ionian Sea.
The crystal clear waters and the small bays around Fiskardo are ideal for swimming and diving, offering unique experiences and wonderful landscapes. Nearby beaches such as Emplyos and Dafnoudi are easily accessible, while nature lovers can follow the trails leading to spots with stunning views. Fiskardo is also known for its rich history, having survived the devastating earthquake of 1953, and is a living example of old Kefalonia.
